No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There’s only one thing that makes someone change: Their own realization that they need to do it.
This quote speaks volumes to me. For most of my adult life, I was unwilling to change my health. I would readily admit that change was needed. I would even half heartedly ask for help. My wife would beg me to take better care of myself in order to be present for her and for our children, but I was content to guard the status quo. It wasn’t until I was fed-up with myself that thought of not changing actually became more painful than the effort necessary to change.
If you are at a point in your life that you are ready to make a change for yourself, there is nothing that can stop you. If you need some accountability and a proven path forward, it would be my honor to partner with you.
